How do I change the recorder speed for the cd burner?

i have windows xp and the windows medea player to burn cds

how do i change the recording spreed

it wont let me burn a cd unless i try changing the speed

  1. You'll need to access your CD-ROM drive (usually Drive D: on most computers running Windows XP.)  Click start > my computer > RIGHT-click Drive (D:) icon.  A shortcut menu will appear.  Click on Properties.  A dialog box with several tabs will appear.  Click on the Recording tab and from there you can change the recording speed.
