How do I change the user profile name on my Vista PC?

I bought a new laptop and allowed the store I bought it at to make recovery CDs. When I got the PC home I found that the technician at the store named my computer and created a user profile for me with a name I don't want. I was able to change the name of the computer to what I want and change my account name, but when I go into user profile, the idiot who worked on my computer put down the user profile name as PC\(wrong name) which I don't want. How do I correct the profile name?

I am the only one who uses this computer, and therefore the administrator. I think I may have to create a new user profile but I also want to delete the wrongly named one and am afraid I'm going to lose all my files

  1. you will need to create a new user with the correct name. You will need to make this user an administrator. Then when logged in as the original user you will need to preferably create a folder outside of the documents folder, copy all your files to it and make it full control to any user from the security tab of properties. log in as the new user and copy the contents of this folder to the relevant places on the new profile. when you are sure you have them all you van then delete the original account.
