How do I change the view of my monitor?

I have a wide monitor so when I view pictures and videos everything appears stretched... How do I fix that?

On the desktop, right click and click on properties. when the properties window comes up, click on the tab that says settings and there is a slider near the bottom left. play around with that to set your screen settings. hope that helps!
