I simply hate, Hate, HATE Hypocrisy.

I write a lot and I'm an outspoken critic of hypocrisy and hypocritical people. To some extent, people hate me since I try to correct them by pointing out their hypocritical attitude. Does trying to change people mean a LOST BATTLE right from the word "go"?

How do I channelize my energy properly? Should I make good use of this quality and make a difference OR should I just concentrate on my life and make it big, oblivious to what happens around?

  1. ya i think if your out to change people, there are two obsticles you havent considered. people can change only if THEY want to change. secondly, pointing out people faults aren't going to give them the motivation to change, its only gonna p**s them off. so if you have good intentions in mind, your going about it all the wrong ways.

i believe you should make use of any good qualities you have, but learn to do it in a nonaggressive way, a way people will reflect on their attitudes without being insulted. i dont think thats wrong. but you have to remember, dont be angry with the world because they dont think like you, thats what makes us all so different and valueable, and how boring the world would be if we were all the same and thought the same, we would never advance with technology, etc.

  2. For answers on channelizing energy I have found the Buddhists to have the best answers and lessons. Nobody wants to be corrected, besides you are probably wrong most of the time yourself. Maybe you should find out why an individual believes the way they do. A truth in Asia is not a truth in Australia. As for your direction in life, it has little consequence either way. So find happiness in your journey not in what you expect to find at the end of the road.

  3. Channel this energy by making a point to not be a hypocrite yourself.  I myself cannot stand hypocrisy, but if I am a hypocrite, then what right do I have to correct others. Also, I have found that it is a losing battle to try and fix it. Concentrate on improving yourself, and stay away from those who refuse to better themselves.

  4. Yea, make good use of your gift and make a difference. Listen darling, people don't change unless they WANT to. So yes, trying to change people is a lost battle indeed! Believe, I have tried changing friends, even my husband- needless to say we are now separated- over c**p that coul have been worked out! But no- we had to be so stuck up and wanted to change the other.... Nope...don't work that way.

Hypocrisy is one of those things I personally hate also but you have to realize that people are different and the way they act stems from wherever they are from, family- experiences and all..

So you trying to correct or change them will only drive YOU crazy! Just get an imaginary box in your mind...whenever you meet a Hypocrite, put them in that little box and refuse to let them upset you!

Just lock them up and throw away the key.

Focus on positive things, positive people- and how you can change their lives....

    That could be interesting.....

    I hope I helped.

  5. Question:  Does trying to change people mean a LOST BATTLE right from the word "go"?

Answer:  Remember, right from the start kid, 'You are outnumbered'.

'Channelize' ....there is my bugbear for a start, my wanting to ''challenge'' a word that is not an identifiable word (not in any English Dictionary  ~ or otherwise).

By all means stick to standards that are identifiable and have the backing of what you conceive of as The Truth ...whilst also recognising that at times there really does have to be a balance of give and take in a great many areas of life ....in order to preserve something somewhere between sanity and life itself.

However, there is also very likely to be found a You fighting a battle you cannot readily hope to win. AND, so, and at the same time, you also leave yourself free to really concentrate on making your life Big.

Just spend your time choosing your battles, and don't waste it on a war ~ where you are outnumbered.

    Good luck.

    Sash.

PS:  What is the difference between 'channelling' and 'chanelize' ?
