In Yahoo!'s dating advice, "20 Dates for Under 20 Dollars", one suggestion is to look for free events.

What section would it be under in the paper?

How do I search for these events online?

  1. the best way to go about this on the internet is to put on some soft music, and pour yourself a large tumbler full of red wine. If you're a cigar afficiando, this would be a good time to light up as well.

Then, open your Internet Explorer browser and, using the Google Search Engine, type in the phrase, "free events or festivals in my area for the poor or generally cheap area resident".

To narrow the search you may want to include your zip code.

  2. Go to http://www.yahoo.com and put your criteria in the search area.  Example:

    http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=free+ev...

  3. I like you! :-)
