  1. you want one that comes to your bottom lip, thats a good size

  2. All depends on your weight and size, but generally upto around your chin is a good length. Shorter boards are easier to turn so great for starters.

Remember that you get what you pay for, so I would begin by doing more research on the boards you're interested in.

  3. Ciao Choosy,

Hi, when choosing a snowboard...a few tips, get one that is quality made by a good company.  A few of my favorites:  Ride, Rome, M3, Dinosaurs Will Die, Gnu, Lib Tech.  Burton also has a great selection of Women specific boards as do most reputable snowboard companies.  As far as what size...the best I can do for you is recommend this web site, I believe it is a great website for helping riders with issues of size, weight, foot size...things of that nature.  I have recommended this site to lots and lots of people with very positive results and many thankyou's.  :)  Have fun picking out your new board and have even more fun riding it!!!!!

P.S. When picking out the boots to go with it...may I recommend DC (with a boa system, its super easy to use and laceless with precision fit :)  )  and thirty-two, they have a heat molded liner that is custom fit to your foot.  they will give you a super positive riding experience and if you need help on fit, a local shop can help you alot, but make sure to go to a real snowboard shop, not just a place that sells snowboards.  Good Luck!!!
