How can I get rid of the foggy residue inside a glass pitcher? I have tried letting it soak in bleach, scrubbing, and glass cleaner? Anyone know a sure way to get rid of the residue?

  1. Try scrubbing it with alcohol or soaking it in vinegar.

  2. Soak overnight with vinegar then take a soft steel wool to it be sure not to scrub too hard.  If its a coffee pot I had to put lots of dawn dish soap and let it soak for a whole weekend.  When I got home it rinsed right out.

  3. try to dissolve a pack of oxalic acid in a pail of water, soak them in and leave them overnight...that's magic by tomorrow.

  4. I've had good results with white vinegar.

  5. Boil a cup of water and add a tablespoon of Cream of Tartar - found in the spice aisle - let sit and then wash.  This works wonders on the inside of coffee pots too, especially corning ware.

  6. White vinegar usually works but I have used denture cleaning tablets also.  And a good dose of hot water and a little dishwasher detergent sometimes helps!

  7. yes try viniger its should remove the stain
