How do I clean an old picture?

Ok, so I have a picture of when i was 4 or 5, and I want to conserve it. How do I clean the surface without the paint coming off? Thanks!!!

  1. As for the original picture, I don't know but have you thought of scanning and photoshoping it?  If you don't know how there are lots of places that can do photo restoration.  Look in the phone book under photo.  That way you can at least have a good clean copy of yourself as a baby.
