Question:

How do I clean barley pillows?

My mom bought me these pillows that are *I think* filled with barley. Now I know I can't just throw them in the washer and she says to get them drycleaned.

  1. I bet they are buckwheat pillows.  You can wash the cover - hopefully there is a zipper to get the hulls out - but you can't really wash the buckwheat hulls.  They are supposed to be clean and not attractive to mites or bugs or anything like that.  I think after a few years you can just discard them.
