Question:

How do I clean my industrial piercing?

I got it done about two days ago and the piercer gave me no directions on really how to clean it. She just said use dial soap for it and keep my hair off of it. The problem is, is that I have very short hair and it's hard to put it up and it's very swollen and hurts to clean it out but is there an easier way? I hear just to soak it in sea salt, but I'm not sure on how long or how much sea salt to use. Can someone please help me with how exactly to keep it from getting infected.

  1. Well I've had my industiral since about June and it is now December. 1st- you NEVER use alcohol or peroxide on your industrial because it can dry it out and it will look really nasty. You can buy h2ocean at your nearest tattoo shop or at hottopic. Or you could buy Saline Solution and water it down by about a tsp. of water. Use a q-tip and wipe the holes, the bar, and by the balls about 2-5 times a day and in the shower use anti-bacterial soap and wash the piercing all over. Before touching it always wash your hands with an un-fragranced soap. Hope this helps (:

  2. I had gotten my industrial done today, my piercer told me to use a saline solution which is about 6 dollars and you use a qtip to clean the top and the bottom of the piercing where the balls are and also use the saline solution 3-5 times a day
