They are the kind you squeeze and fill with water then squirt out, but they have mold or something coming out. What's the best way to clean them?

  1. You have to clean/dry them as soon as he has finished in the tub or they will go mouldy. If you can't get the mould off best to throw away, get new ones and keep the new ones clean and dry when done.

  2. Machine wash if allowed!

  3. I would probably soak them in a bucket of bleach and water. Then put on gloves, reach in and squeeze them until they fill up with water. Let them soak. Wash them thoroughly and if they don't come out looking and smelling mold/ mildew free, it's time to take a trip back to the toy store. Next time after his bath, squeeze them out and lay them on their side to dry. If you cover up the hole in the bottom the water will lay in there and go bad! Good luck!

  4. Yeah, same happens with my 4 and 2 yr olds toys.

I let them soak in the sink with hot water and bleach for an hour.

Then I put them in the dishwasher and run it.

No more nasty black gunk coming out.

Some toys, I've used super glue to close up those unnecessary holes.

  5. Suck up liquid laundry bleach, let it sit an hour or so, then squirt it out.

Then suck and squirt fresh water a few times and shake the last of the rinse water out.

Bathwater is a great mold food ...in the future make sure to rinse  his toys in clean water and squirt and shake out all the water.
