How do I clean my v. delicate dyed silk and wool Moroccan throw?

Question

In February I brought a bright colourerd throw in Morocco made from silk and wool.

It has been on my bed and has a bit of dirt on from random spillages.

How should I clean it? I'm guessing not in a washing machine, so what cleansers should I use that wont damage/bleach it?

Drycleaners are your best bet, they have the know how and as stated above if it does get ruined you will be compensated, Although i highly doubt they would ruin it.

If it were mine, I would use a home dry cleaning kit like Dryel to clean it. I use these kits on all my silk, wool and cashmere.  That said, I am prepared for the possibility that I may s***w it up doing this although I have yet to ruin a garment cleaning them at home like this.

Dryel comes with cleaning sheets infused with a dry cleaning solution and they also come with pads and a liquid solution to use for spot treating stains and I have had success using it.

Another option would be to hand-wash it using a gentle detergent like Woolite, in the tub if it is large, but rinsing it and getting the excess water out could be a pain and the colors may run/bleed in water (BIG mess.) Of course, you could test for colorfastness beforehand by just dipping a tip in the water and letting it sit for a few minutes.

You could also try to wash it in the machine on delicate cycle in cold water with Woolite, preferably in a front loading machine.  This option is trickier since everyone has different washing machines with different features.  For instance, my washer has three different delicate cycles that get progressively more gentle and your washer may or may not have this feature or one comparable.

If you are nervous about any of the aforementioned options, just take it to the dry cleaner and be done with it. If they ruin it, at least they will compensate you.  :)
