How do I clean my white canvas shoes?

I bought these Puma shoes there called Puma Lo Rainbow. There mostley white but have colored accents. Search them if you can. The are made of canvas and rubber (on the toe and bottom). I want to keep them in the best condition possible but people have told me that the wasshing will turn the edges yellow. I'm not sure what to use; so please help me!

use stain remover and wash on the gentle cycle.  air dry.

go to the shoe store and buy protectant

mix in a bowl a little bleach and detergent. Then add some warm water. Clean with a toothbrush .Wala u did it.         This is a must have in my house .Just make sure you save this toothbrush for cleaning your shoes only..

Payless shoes sells a product called Sport White that works well on the canvas parts of white shoes.

the tide pen or bleach pen.  I actually put my shoes in the wash-I tie them in pillow cases and wash with towels.
