How do I clean p**p off of my puppy?

My puppy was in his crate today while I went to work. When i came home it smelled horrible and i realized he pooped in his crate. He has p**p all over him and i don't know how to clean him off. Please help!

If it is all over then there is only one way. To bathe the pup and clean it's kennel good.

No harm in getting him used to being bathed from an early age ;)

Make sure you use the right shampoo - not soap or human shampoo.

Clean and disinfect the crate. Add a few drops of Tea Tree Oil to the cleaner you use and it helps to get rid of the nasty smell, as well as being a natural disinfectant :)

Give him a bath.  If you don't have any puppy shampoo, you can use baby shampoo.

use a mild soap, baby shampoo is best or dog shampoo to wash them like a child

just give him a bath and dont get any soup or water in the eyes or ears...and scrub real good after words smell him all over and if he still stinks than give him another bath and repeat...

Bath-time (don't use human shampoo)

If you don't have puppy shampoo, use baking soda (the smell will totally go away)

Or you could just use a warm sponge. ;)

Just give him a bath with puppy shampoo. Your dog shouldn't be in a crate all day he will come to hate the crate and you don't want that. The crate is suppose to be a place of refuge, a safe secure place for them...dogs are people animals. He will get very depressed after a while and probably develop behavior problems if he is alone and locked up all day. It's not a natural environment for dogs. I would try to make some kind of acceptable arrangement for you puppy or don't have a dog just yet..

You put him in the sink and wash him off. If you have baby shampoo handy, use it, but it is not good to use human shampoo on a dog unless it is an emergency. This qualifies. Rinse puppy really, REALLY well. Dry puppy off really well. Buy puppy shampoo at the pet store for next time.

DO NOT, under any circumstances, use Tea Tree Oil on dogs or cats. It is toxic to them.
