How do I clean the play mat?

I have a 3 month old and she loves her playmat, but she spits up on it all the time. It has a music thingy inside it that doesn't come out so I don't think I can just throw it in the wash. How do I clean it? Lysol?

Greenworks just came out with a dishwashing liquid and it has no harsh chemicals in it. Try that on it. Good luck

Wash it by hand. To protect the music thing, fold the mat in a way that the music part stays in a corner, put the corner inside a plastic bag and tie a very tight knot with a string to prevent water from going in. It should hold enough to survive a not very vigorous hand wash. I wouldn't use any chemicals because they might provoke an adverse reaction in your baby.
