I keep getting a warning saying I have low disk space and when I try to download something it tells me to clear disk space. I have no idea what that is, but I have barely any programs installed on this computer.

  1. try to delete anything you dont need.  can do a disk defragmentation. if u have windows xp, press start, accesories, system tools, and click on Disk Defragmenter. that will clean up your disk and delete files of folders u dont need like empty folders and such.

  2. You may not have many programs, but somehow you've managed to fill the hard drive. Do you download lots of music and movies? You're going to have to go find a music or movie file (or some other thing you've downloaded) to delete. Then, download and install the Sequoia View program:

    http://www.win.tue.nl/cgi-bin/usr/sequoi...

It will run and show you all the files on the hard drive made up of little rectangles that make up one giant rectangle. Then you can hover the mouse over a rectangle, look at the bottom of the program, and it will tell you the name of that file. Use that to find things you can delete. Be careful not to delete important system files or program files, just things you've added to the computer. If you right-click on a file in Sequoia View and choose Explore, it will open the folder that contains that file, then you can delete that file.

After you've gone through and deleted whatever you're going to get rid of, do a defrag like Rarksz mentioned.

  3. delete cache and set your max cache amount to 100 mb

it may even be that you have a virus/worm on your computer
