  1. Tools-Internet Options-Delete Cookies and Files I believe.

  2. With internet explorer 6 go to tools on your bar at the top, click internet options, then 'clear history'.

  3. To erase your visited searches on the web, click on the control panel, and then go to internet options, and go to where they have delete history.   You must first click on the start menu, and you will see the control panel.  I hope that helps

  4. **Removal of items on your search bar**

On the right side of the bar before you get to the web search button click on the bar (you may have to click it a few times) will open a drop down box that will bring you at the front of items you searched for.

Place your mouse pointer over the first item and you will see it highlight. Do not click the item just leave your mouse where it is and hit the delete button on your keyboard. The item will vanish and the next will take its place and become highlighted. Just keep hitting the delete button and watch them go away.

This will work for any browser.

  5. im not sure what kind of internet browser you use, but i use aol explorer and if you go to security then clear my footprints you can clear past sites visited

  6. If you are using Internet Explorer click on Tools, Internet Options, Content, Auto Complete. Then clear forms. This will erase the search history. If you don't want things showing up again then deselect the auto complete options at the top of the page. Be sure to select ok at the bottom. Clearing the history only deletes sites visited and doesn't clear the search history in the search bar.

  7. If you are trying to clear the words that pop up when you start typing (an autofill feature), then start typing the search word in the searchbox, highlight the word and simply hit delete on the keyboard.

  8. In Firefox go to Tools and select "Clear Private Data"

In Internet Explorer it's under Tools then you have the choice for clearing cookies and separately the History. In IE 7 I think they are grouped together like in Firefox.
