  1. IE6: Tools > Internet Options > Content > AutoComplete > Clear Forms. This will clear out ALL your autocompleted forms, such as search windows, form fill-ins, etc. You can also reset your Auto-Complete options here. Other browsers have something similar, you just need to find it!

Or, to delete just a single (or a few) searches, just have them highlighted in the drop-down list and hit DELETE -- they will vanish! If you hold down the key, the whole drop-down list of searches will delete.

If you are using the Yahoo! Toolbar, I believe there is a drop-down box at the end of the search window that has the option to CLEAR SEARCHES on it.

BTW, clearing your history, as some people may suggest to do, only clears out the PAGE locations that you have recently visited, NOT the searches!!

  2. Ahh... looking at p**n again... here's an easy way to rid your search of "dirty whores"

On the Toolsmenu, click Internet Options.

On the Generaltab, under Temporary Internet Files, select the options that you want:

Click Delete Cookiesto remove cookies that are stored on your computer.

Click Delete Filesto remove temporary files that are stored on your computer.

Under History, click Clear Historyto remove the list of sites that you’ve visited.

    Click OKto confirm your selections.

  3. The option to clear the search history is in Toolbar Settings (pencil icon). It's the third line down that says 'Clear Search History'.

  4. In Mozilla (IE may be the same), do this by going to: Tools/Options/Privacy/Saved Forms and uncheck the box that says "Save Information I enter in Search bars..."  Hit OK/Accept.  Then, go check your search bar to be sure nothing from emmory is still there.  Then, if you want to keep this feature, just go back to the same place and recheck the box and from that point on, it will rememeber anything entered thereafter but not from before.

  5. Go to your tool bar under Tools...then choose Internet options, delete files, check the delete off line content box and click ok.  An hour glass might come up for a sec before you can click ok.  Sometimes it will make you sign in to Yahoo again.  But it clears your search history.

This will not clear any of your saved files...just all of the sites you have browsed through...help your pc move faster again too...you should clean them and the cookies at least once a week...at least that is what I was told.  I have been doing it and it works for me.  Good luck.

    be cool...
