How do I close a page that i have viewed each time I click new tad I get an empty page?

If I want to get back to my Yahoo home page I have to click www yahoo etc. for this

A new tab will always be an empty page because you have not yet given it a URL or internet address.

To close a tab or window you are done with, left-click on the little  x with the red background, in the upper right corner of the page (for a window) or the corner of the tab.

To get to yahoo's home page, click on the little house symbol next to the box where you'd type yahoo.com.
