Question:

How do I collect dust from my circular saw?

The last time I used my circular saw, it sent dust flying everywhere. I tried attaching the "exhaust" to my vacuum cleaner hose, but the hose gets blown off. I've scoured the shops and the internet for a dust bag but cannot find one.

Can anyone give me a practical suggestion, please?

I'll need the same solution for using my sander.

  1. you need to clamp the hose on to get it to stay, vacuum was best choice...........tom

  2. Try a vacuum cleaner & duct tape !!

  3. Is there a circular whole at the base of the saw.

If so you can buy a little extracter fan which you attach to the back and suck all the dust into a bag.

Take a look  at the pics at the bottom of this page.

  4. try a shop vac and attach it near blades--just a thought not knowing all details of equipment

  5. my husband and i used a saw indoors - we used an old sheet and some chairs to rig a collection area- it worked by keeping the sawdust confined - those collection bags really don't work - try this, it can't hurt and it doesn't cost anything.

  6. saw outside

  7. you need a bag that lets air out but keeps dust in try using a sock
