How do I come attract clients in my photography business without spending too much money?

I started my photography business 4mths ago, on the Gold Coast of Australia, QLD. I have approached beauty salons, hair salons, kindies/facility for kids, flyer's, advert in the local papers and I have not "got off the ground" yet. I also have a website www.lisa-photography.com

When I talk to people I tell them what I do and give them my business card. I am not sure what more to do? I don't want to spend more money than I have already... My next step is to advertise in the local biz directory but I am finding it difficult to come up with something quirky, to make people phone and have a photo taken. If anyone has advise for me please let me know. Thank you for your time.

  1. we have 2 kids that play footy on a Sunday morning

last week they had a team photo and there was a lot of other photos where taking for each kid well they where playing every parent  i spooked to got at lest two photos they where about $20 each

so if you have the time on Saturday or Sunday go down to your local sporting clubs or contact the league for the numbers

or you can get the phone numbers of the Internet if you know the league name , it can be a yearly sort of thing good luck

  2. You need business cards, leave them everywhere, advertise on newspapers, show up at schools, at bridal stores too...think of places where people would want photograhs taken of them.   Daycares are great, keep in mind your prices and such as you have not established a reputation as yet.   You can start by working through your own circle of friends.   Go to halls and churches...anywhere people gather for functions.  I would say the best way would be to advertise yourself in your local newpaper.
