  1. Programs often have an uninstall available - check in the Programs and also in the folder of the program itself.  Sometimes it's obvious which is the uninstall program and sometimes it isn't - if you have unwise.exe in the folder, that would be the uninstall program.

If absolute worst comes to absolute worst, although you *shouldn't* delete programs, it can be done but then you should run a program such as Ccleaner on your computer to clean up the registry.  You download and install Ccleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com and then use the Issues or Registry button.  (If you use the latest version from their site, it will be Registry written on the button.)  Have it search for all issues and then ask it to fix them.  Back up when prompted and then start this procedure again.  Do this until it stops finding issues.  The file name it will suggest for backing up is based on the date and time so if it says that you are using the same file name, you can change it manually or wait for your computer clock to tick over to the next minute.

Also, if you use Ccleaner to clean all your cookies, you know they will ALL be gone.  This is done from the first screen when you open Ccleaner but if you don't want to remove your History or some other things, make sue you uncheck those before starting.  There are two tabs to check (near the top left of the screen) - if you use any browser other than IE, its' History check button will be on the second tab.

EDIT:  The backups for Ccleaner should be done and kept until you are sure there are no problems with your computer (which is unlikely to happen from Ccleaner, it's quite safe).  They contain all the registry entries that get removed and can be put back with help from an expert if something has gone wrong.
