How do I completely stop stoplight from starting up in Mac OSX Leopard 10.5.4 and showing up in the menubar?

I have seen hundreds of online tutorials and none of them work. Can someone help me. and i already tried spotless. it didnt do it.

I suppose you mean Spotlight. Why would you want to disable spotlight? It's a core part of the productivity of Mac OS X, at least in my workflow. I use it to start applications that aren't in my dock, find documents that I don't want to search for, etc. Check out the links below about spotlight.
