Although there are many safe and effective over-the-counter treatments for mild to moderate cases of acne and prescription medicines for more severe acne, curing acne does take a bit of time and so, while the medication does its work, many people are anxious to conceal their pimples as much as possible.

That said, it could be argued that since this is a common condition which affects about eighty-five percent of the population between the ages of about twelve and twenty-four you really shouldn't worry about trying to cover it up at all since we almost all have to go through it. If that sounds like a strange term it is derived from the word 'comedone' which is the scientific name for the whiteheads and blackheads produced by certain mild forms of acne.

Your first line of defense should normally be a concealer which can be dabbed onto spots with a disposable sponge. You need to be sparing in your use of concealer though and use only as much as you need and no more.

Next it is on to the foundation which is excellent for blending the tones of your skin and again this needs to be used sparingly but in sufficient quantity to achieve an even color overall. You will find that foundation is not only excellent at covering your spots but, because it is less reflective than your skin itself, it also softens out the shadows and lessens the contrast which is often produced by the bumps which occur with acne.

Finally, a light covering of powder will also help to further even out color tones, reduce shadow and eliminate contrast.

So much for the women, but what about the men? Well, there are two approaches here. The first is to follow the women and apply makeup and you will find that there is makeup available today which is specifically formulated for use by men. If, however, you feel that this is not for you then the second approach is to use one of the range of over-the-counter treatments which contain acne covering compounds to both help cure the condition and at the same time to hide its appearance to a certain degree.

It would be nice if we had a number of treatments and products that get rid of acne fast but for the moment clearing acne tends to be a somewhat lengthy process and so finding effective ways to conceal the problem will continue to be important for many sufferers.

get a concealer, loreale is a good but a bit expensive, rimmel is very good and cheap too.

1) Cook oatmeal and apply on face for fifteen minutes and wash.

2) Make a warm bath with blanch of nettle and rosemary.

3) Apply equal amount of lemon juice and rose water with a cotton ball and wash it after haif an hour for 15 to 20 days.
