  1. Search the archive. It's in there.

  2. Use a 2-way splitter at the output of the receiver and run two separate cables, one to each TV. But, they will have to showing the same channel (whatever is selected by the receiver).

  3. Paul in San Diego is right you will have to use a splitter, but remember that every time you split the signal it gets weaker.  With most tv's you won't notice this but with an HDTV you will see a difference.  You can also get an additional reciever and run it straight from the dish.  Directv can set this up for you with free install but when you do this you will be paying a rental charge for 2 receivers.

Also keep in mind if you are splitting the wire you will have to use a long wire (I assume the tv is in a different room) and when you use a longer wire the signal strenght begins to fade.  There are ways to combat that but they would cost money and it would be cheaper just getting a second reciever.  Plus with a second reciever you can watch two different programs on the tvs instead of the one.  Also remember that if you do the one reciever you will have to get a leap frog to change the channel. Unless you want to run into the room everytime you want to switch channels.

  4. the splitter answer is correct. but let me through this at you. dishnetwork reciever with dvr are dual tuners made to run 2 tv's so if your not locked in with directv already there is an alternative. one box, two tv's

  5. It depends where you want to split -- before or after the receiver. If before normal cable TV splitters won't work. See the article at the link for what you need to know.
