Hi,

I just recieved my grandfather's old Palm Vx. I want to connect it to the internet but I have no Idea how. When I got it, It did not come with the original CD-ROM. Do I need to buy anything for it to work (and how much will it cost)? Where do I go to start setting it up? I have no know knowledge of what to do.

Please help me!!

  1. what do you mean internet?

you can connect it to the network - getting IP adress using the cradle or using IR to a mobile phone.

then you can use telnet, ftp, basic chat program and even a very old html browser.

there will be very limited html browsing.

most of the programs for it are freewares

  2. The Palm Vx is an older Palm unit and Palm made a modem for the Vx so you could use dial up and connect directly to the ISP network via telecoms.  You may find this accessory on eBay.

The other method is to use AvantGo and sync the Palm Vx allowing the content from the internet to be downloaded onto the Vx and taken with you to read.

    Good luck.
