How do I connect my camcorder to my computer?!?

Question

I need to know how to do the following.

1.Plug in my camcorder (Sony 72x digital zoom video Hi-8 XR steady shot Handycam Vision) To my dell computer

2. Save it to my computer and edit it on Windows Movie maker

If anyone can tell me how to do the following it would really be appreaciated. Thanks!

if it came with a USB cord than find a USB port on your computer...

than just plug  the cord in and whala

it should work

it should look like a rectangle

to access the files go to mycomputer and look for the camera in there.. files should be in there...

Hi8 is analog. There is no USB or firewire connection. Use the AV cable you normally use to connect the camera directly to a TV. You will need an analog/digital bridge (Pinnacle Dazzle if you computer has only USB; Canopus if your computer has firewire).

Connect the camcorder to the A/D bridge with the AV cable - connect the A/D bridge to the computer with USB or firewire.

all cameras come with a cd and a usb cable.

If it did put the cd in and do everything it says

if not just plug it into your USB socket and open my computer and double click on ur camera icon.

first you are going to need a USB cord that fits into the camcorder. all USB cords fit into all computers. If im right a window will pop up and there should be a catorgory that says save photos or something like that. If this any help or if im wrong i apologize
