How do I connect my laptop to my home computer for internet access?

My home computer has internet access and I'm trying to connect my laptop to the internet on my home computer. HELP ASAP!

You need to purchase a router to share your internet.

Get an Ethernet cable to connect your desktop to a router and a internet cable to connect your router to the modem to share your internet for multiple purposes. You can now use the internet for your desktop and laptop and other things but you need an ethernet to connect them.

unless you have a wireless router or a lan cord to connect to the same router or port that your pc is using you are not going to be able to connect. ..The easiest way , again would be to use the same lan connection you have on your pc and connect it to the lan port of your laptop. Assuming you have a working lan connection on your laptop...
