I want to make the tv speakers the center speakers. The Receiver only has outputs for speaker wire. I bought speaker wire to RCA but do not know what to do from here.

  1. If there are no RCA plugs on the TV, an adapter (from Radio Shack, for example) can be purchased that has input for your RCA plugs, and an output set of wires that can be attached to the speaker wire screws on the back of the TV.

  2. You don't.

If you were to connect the speaker outputs from your receiver to the amplifier inputs on your TV, you would hear one very loud noise as the speakers on the TV fried, and that's it.

    Just get a center speaker.

  3. This will not work with your current audio system.

The speaker wire outputs on your reciever send only two signals: Push and Pull. This will move the cone inside a speaker back and forth to create sound.

Unfortunately, this signal cannot be used by your television. You will need to purchase a separate center-channel speaker.

Thanks for asking, and have a great day!
