How do I connect wireless internet to my embarq dsl?

I have embarq dsl 660 series and I am trying to get wireless. I have a Verizon Wireless DSL Modem/Router (GT704WG) and I also have a Linksys 2.4ghz Broadband Router..which one should I use and how do I set it up?

You cannot use the Verizon Wireless DSL Modem/Router (GT704WG) with Embarq 660. You can you the Linksys 2.4ghz Broadband Router. It should be easy as plug in play.

Before hook you the Linksys Router turn off the Embarq 660 modem. You will you need have the yellow cable coming from the back modem to the back of the Linksys Router and plug in the yellow in to the internet port. You will need the cable coming from the back of the modem to the back of the router. Turn the modem on and plug the power in to the router. Then turn the Pc on and connect to the router wirelessly as normal.

You maybe need to put a paper clip in the reset whole which located in the back on the router to settle back to the manufacture defaults.  Verizon use PPOE/PPOA and Embarq use DCHP. Linksys Routers are setup by fault to work with DCHP. If you still have issue you may want to contact Linksys directly.
