How do I control the Defense mechanisms in my Brain?

Before I start, Let me remind you that I'm a 15 year old teenager

I read in this article about the brain and pathological Defense mechanisms

It scared me because I've had this problem with my mind and I never knew what to call it or what it was but then I read about this Pathological Defense mechanism in a brain and it made perfect sence to me!!!

I concluded that I have Pathological Defense mechanisms in my brain that makes it hard for me to stay happy in keep my mind rolling healthy

  1. Relax.

    That article was using the language of psychology to trash talk Democrats and compare them with Holocaust deniers, the KKK, etc.

    The "Defense Mechanisms" that the article about are perfectly normal.  They were Freud's attempt to describe how the normal mind keeps itself from freaking out every time something unusual happens.

    The idea is that by becoming aware of when we do these things, we don't do them automatically, and are able to control them somewhat.

    You experience Defense Mechanisms?  Congratulations, you're a normal human being.
