How do I control the size of the page display on my monitor - width and height?

  1. If you're speaking of the resolution of your monitor, which controls how things look, you can right-click on your desktop > Properties > Settings.  You can see a slider under Screen Resolution that adjusts this setting.  The further to the left you slide it, the lower the resolution.  This will make your desktop area appear smaller.  When you open different windows and programs, the amount of space they take up on your screen will be larger.  Therefore you may only be able to view one or two items at a time (such as two Internet Explorer windows).  If you slide the setting to the right, your desktop area will appear larger and you could have several items open and displaying at the same time.  When you do this, you may notice that text and icons are smaller, so you may need to adjust these settings, too.
