How do I convert 6.20 mg to kilograms? ?

I'd like to see an example on how to solve it please. My textbook is really horrible on these matters. Thanks alot for any help.

jst count for example 6.20, bg to kg, the count is 6

drag the point of 6.20 to the left by 6...

the answer is .0000062 kg

1000mg =1gram

1000g/grams= 1kilogram/kg

therefore:

1 000 000mg or 1000mgx1000g = 1kg or 1 000 000mg

= 0.00000620kg

so basically if you want mgs into kgs 1mg is "A Millionth of a Kilogram" or 1000 thousandths of a gram, so make sure that you put in enough zeroes after the decimal.

So yeah you drag the 6.20 6 zeroes back and place the 6.20 IN PLACE of the last zero:



6th zero or millionth
