  1. 1 metre = 100 cm

    2.54 cm = 1 inch

    12 inches = 1 foot.

    So metres * 100 / 2.54 /12 = feet.

  2. I bought a conversion package from  Calculators by Ken in Canada that does all kinds of conversions, has a lunar calendar, and deals Bingo games, cheap.

  3. 1 meter = 3.2808399 feet

  4. magic

  5. Online Conversion Tool - http://www.onlineconversion.com/length_c...

  6. If you have 1 metre multiply it by 3.281

    1 x 3,281 = 3,281 feet

    If you have 2,56 m

    2,56 x 3,281 = 8,39936 feet

  7. if you have Safari or Firefox with a "Google" search box in the browser window, all you need to do is type in "convert 1 meter to feet" and Google will answer your question.  It's great for other conversions, too.

  8. There are on-line conversion calculators, but don't use one until you understand what it is doing, and can estimate the correct answer off the top of your head.  Everyone needs to do this, as the United States is the last country on earth that does not use the metric system, and we HAVE to learn it before too much longer.

So do an internet search on "metric conversion," and you will find lots of lists of conversion factors.  Learn how to use them.

Also, if you have a science textbook, an encyclopedia, a good dictionary, an almanac, or a secretarial handbook handy, you will find metric conversion factors in the back of the book.

So find the conversion factor for meters to feet.  Now take the original measure in meters and multiply that number by the factor for feet per meter.  The product of those numbers is the answer.

For example, a standard overseas shipping container is nine (9) meters long.  Nine meters times 3.28 feet per meter equals 29.52 feet for the length.  If you don't see how that was done, ask your science teacher or someone else you trust.

    Good luck.

  9. There is a website that allows you to convert meters to inches and feet. This is the website:
