How do I convert my 2002 Microsoft Word to the 2007 version of Microsoft Word?

If all you have is Word 2002 (as opposed to the full office suite) and you only want the new version of Word 2007, then go into add/remove programs, find the word 2002, uninstall it, and then load the Word 2007.

If your word 2002 is a part of an office suite, then uninstall the full suite  in the same manner that I describe above (only look for microsoft office) and then install your new software.

Just a tip: The office 2007 package packs more punch and thus requires more resources to run (e.g. RAM)

First of all why?? Nothing too much different in 2007. You can download a fully functional free trial of  Office2007, and check it out for yourself. Be careful when you install it, select "keep your old program" or whatever it says so that you don't lose your 2002.

no offense, but that would be dumbest thingy you'd do! people usually want to convert from 2007 to 2004 not other way around..
