How do I convert my video to wmv??

Question

I have tried everything. I created an Anime music video and I downloaded the software to convert it to wmv, but it does not work. Every time I try to convert it, a message pops up saying 'Can't decode file. Maybe the file is broken or the relative decoder is not installed.'

I downloaded WinAVI Video Converter version 8.0. My Laptop is brand new and I used windows movie maker to install it. Please help!!
