Question:

How do I convince my English teacher to let me take a test for a senior summer reading book when I'm a junior?

I had a twelfth grade reading level in fourth grade.

Not only are the books on the junior list too easy, but they're ridiculously stupid. I just don't like any of the options at all. I bought what seemed like the best book on there, and it sucks.

I've been contemplating whether or not to just read a senior list book, even though everyone's told me to read a junior book just 'cause I should "play the game".

But I can't stand it.

So I'm just going to read a senior book, because school starts tomorrow and I don't want to start off the year angry and annoyed, considering I'm actually really happy to be going back ATM.

I just need help convincing my teacher. I mean, she's really nice and all (I requested her, so I'm pretty sure I'll get her), but if it's not her choice, I need help convincing the people that ARE in charge, because I don't want to start off the year badly either way.

Help, please! D:

  1. I HIGHLY doubt a teacher is going to stop you from wanting to challenge yourself in reading. If she does have a problem with it, ask her for a suggestion on the correct reading list. Surely she's read them and can tell you the most challenging and entertaining one on the list.

  2. tbh...

just deal, get an easy A

read other more challenging books on your own if you want something stimulating...
