How do I convince my dad to let me wash my own clothes?

My dad won't let me wash my own clothes! He is always telling me that I "Need to learn how to do things on my own", but he won't let me wash his own clothes! I know how to use the washer and I am completely qualified! I don't like him seeing my underwear and bras either! I am a very private person!

How do I convince him to let me wash my own clothes?

  1. Just tell him the truth; you don't want him to see your underwear and bras. I'm sure he'll understand.


  2. I agree with first responder. Plus, let me add: to convince your dad that you are capable, let him watch you for a few loads as you do laundry to prove to him you are capable.
