How do I convince my daughter to put out more selectively?

Question

I keep telling her that if she wants a husband who will be successful and buy her all sorts of nice things, like my husband, that she has to be more 'open' with the guys who are student government members. To be, well, I don't want to say temptress, but something along those lines. How can I convince her that that's the right thing to do?

well i don't think it is any of your business, she should marry for love or nothing at all, if she even wants to marry. i agree you should stay out of it, it is her choice and you should only support her

Not sure I understand this...She shouldnt be 'putting out' at all. Tell her to have respect for herself, and it sounds like you need some lessons on self respect too.

I would be encouraging HER to be successful and to be able to buy nice things for herself and not rely on some guy to buy them for her.
