How do I convince my mom and step dad?

I wanna take guitar lessons real bad and I asked them two days ago they said no because when I was little they took me to guitar lessons and I didn't like it (I was naive and like 10) But now I have no hobbies and I want to convince them I can stick with guitar lessons!

tell them that befor you were to young to be intersted and know your older and more matcher and you want to make it a hobby and you will stick with it

do you have a guitar? if so, play it in all your spare time day after day after day. After a while, they will see that you really want to do it. Until then, look up learning guiatars on the internet and learn to play from there.

I would just start getting really interested in guitars...buy a book on how to play the guitar and practice it everyday...after a while ask again..if they say no keep practicing and do it over until they say yes.

Tell them what you told us, that you're going to be dedicated and before you were young and weren't ready but this time around you know it's something you want to it, and you'd appreciate if they'd backed you up on this.

just remind them that the last time you took lessons you were young..

maybe tell them that if they let you take the lessons and quit that you will pay them back the money that they spent either by doing chores or odd jobs for the neighbors..

maybe do another hobby, if they see your serious maybe they will let you. or maybe you can save some money and pay with some or all of it with your allowance and that way your parents will see you are serious
