I need braces and my mom knows it but she always says when I get a second insurance then you can get braces but we both know she won't so how do I convince to let me get them like ASAP? Oh and one thing I've already planned is finding out which is the cheapest and where to find those places and stuff like that so if you live in Alabama and you could help me with that PLEASE DO!

  1. lol usually its the other way around. If your mom is a good mother she should care about your teeth. Tell her you want braces really badlye.

  2. Most insurance companies dont really pay fully for braces...

But, i didnt have insurance but once had medicaid. If you ortho is good, he might give u a discount because of medicaid(even though they dont pay for it). I got $1000 off my braces! Ask your ortho, and tell your mom to go in for a consultation first, which is free, all you need is time for the appointment!

  3. It is all very well to say you need braces but the question is can your mother afford them? Money doesn't grow on trees and right now there is a lot of bad financial things going on. Maybe your mother cannot afford to put you into an expensive dental treatment program. If this

is so important to you in addition to finding out the cheapest place maybe you better think about getting a job so you can help pay for this.

    dental work.

  4. Just look at that commercial. "Mom I need braces. Can i get them?" Mom says "Of course."

  5. id stress to her that i wan tto get done with them before graduation pictures are taken...and everything to do with grad night ing eneral.

explain to her that if you dont get them fixed, and elt it go along time then the teeth that are out of place (or whatever your problems are) will get worse over time and will start affecting the other teeth. (this is very true btw!)

tell her youve done your research aswell..

this should really help to convince her!

  6. You need to see if there is a program in your state to help those without insurance, or crappy insurance and little money to help pay for medical needs.  Your dentist office may be able to point you in the right direction.  Also, most docs will allow you to go on a payment plan!!

You need to go see your regular dentist, and he will refer you to an orthodontist who will do you braces!!
