How do I convince my mom to let me have a dog?!?

I want a Malti Poo dog!

... But ... my mom wont let me

How do I convince her to let me and my brother have a dog?

I already told her i'd feed her, play with her, and refill her bowl at times ...

I never had a pet before and I really want one!!

Please help!

Ask for a horse. Then progress to a bunch of hard kept animals.

Or get a smaller animal to prove to her you can and are capable of keeping a pet.

Try a cat, maybe. They're not as high-maintenance as dogs, but still oodles of fun. :D

Why do you want a dog? You shouldn't buy because its unfair to all the homeless dogs in a shelter. You should never buy a dog for the way it looks either. Research a certain breed and etc and find out what kind of dog you want and then present it to your mom. Try and try again.

But start big and progress..Lol. :)

First, be responsible. Volunteer to do the dishes or something else without being asked. Do jobs around the house that are not your chores...

If you are still in school, wake up on time and be prepared when it's time to go. Do your best in school, do homework first thing when you get home, it's all really signs of responsibility.

I stopped asking for about a month or two while I was being really good, hehe, and when I asked again she said no, but a week later reconsidered. A few days later, we got our puppy from a shelter and he's a hyper pup so i've got to jog around with him every morning and evening and he is alot of work. Make sure you are able to take care of a puppy, they are a handful

PS: Don't be whinny and fuss when she says no, that'll only give her an additional reason not to get a dog.

Well wen i got my dog i had to tell her when she wasn't busy and tell her that  i will leave him outside  in the yard, i told her that i was going to help around and not go to the store for 2 whole months!! and that worked for me  but if you beg ed you mom and said NO!!! Borrow a dog from your friends or cousin and show here that you will take care of it and be responsible :0   And then tell her again.

Maybe if you offered to pay for vet bills too.  That might help convince her.
