How do I convince my parents to get me a cell phone?

-year round swim team

-JO (junior optomist)

-muse machine

and i go alot of places where i have 2 borrow their phones

well, first of all, how old are u? maybe ur too young to get one. doesnt matter if ur busy all the time (trust me, ur not that busy compared to others) its whether ur mature and responsible enough.

Tell them that you need one, because of all the clubs you are in and you need to keep them informed about where you are. Tell them that you are mature and responsible and that you won't let them down if you have one.

Tell your parents that it would be smart to have a cellphone for emergencies.

Tell them you need one when you go on vacation with a friend or a field trip for school.

Become as responsible as you can be. If you're old enough, get a job. Do everything you can.

Offer to help pay for it yourself, perhaps out of your allowance.

Find different sources. Go to different family members like aunts, cousins and grandparents asking them to help you.

You also might throw the idea of the pre-paid cell phone so that they will have a fixed cost to consider.

Don't mention it right out. That will make them even madder and harder to persuade.

Pay for it!

Show them you really care and want it.

Try not to do the 'please please', I really need it'. That will just make your parents even harder to persuade.

I'm 13 and didn't even have to ask my mom for a cell.

OK, well i kept my room nice and clean. cut the grass. did chores around the house washed her car sometimes. Worked around ther house basicly and the next day she told my i could get one.

Join the "I have a job" club and pay for it yourself. Then you can have one. Just get a pay as you go phone.

Just explain to your mom why you need a cell phone.

Tell her all thoughs reasons and then offer to pay the bill.

I recommend pay as you go cards, they work really well for someone who wont use there phone very often.

It depends on your age, if you are 12-13 or older, then i don't see any reason why you shouldn't have a cell phone. To convince your parents, tell them that you would like to have one, you go to places wheir you need to borow other peoples cell phones, and that it would be good for saftey reasons. Yould should also tell your parents  that you won't text too often and that you won't use it all the time. Hope this helps.

Tell that you always have to run around to use the phone and that if it doesn't work out after 3 months you'll get rid of it.  Tell them you'll get a prepaid so that you don't go over on your minutes.  And tell them you'll use it for rides and stuff like that, and emergencies.  Also explain how you will be very responsible and appreciate it very much.  Don't mention that everyone else has one,  because they will only feel as if you are saying that they owe you one.  Good luck hun!

Write your parents a letter and explain why you want a phone, why it would help you, why they could have their phones and you wouldn't need to borrow, etc.
