How do I convince my parents to let me have this party?

I wanna have a big party for my 13th birthday this year in July. They want me to have a regular boring party at home like my last one. I have OTHER plans though, I wanna have a beach birthday party and sleepover. How can I convince my parents to let me throw this party!?

say that 13 is the age where you are no longer a kid and now ur a teenager. i know it may sound scary, but now i am more responsible and trustworthy. I would like to have my party somewhere more exciting, which would celebrate my teen years. I am willing to prove this all to you by helping around the house and taking on more responsibilities. thank you!

Ok, this is a time when you both should compromise. 13 is still kind of young for you to have a beach party, as that invites under age drinking, yes, premarital s*x, possible rape, ect. That is how your parents are seeing this. What you could do, tell them, they can be present, to oversee that NO alcohol will be served, or allowed in. Second, let them be present with other parents to make sure nothing gets out of hand, so they feel like they are also part of YOUR party. They should feel like they are welcome, not like there will be nonsense going on which is why you don't want them there. If you include them, not try to keep them out? You might find they will be more flexible. But you too, must be just as flexible. remember you are still a minor in thier home, what they say, goes.
