  1. Tell him it will keep you from bugging him.

Tell him it will keep you in shape.

Tell him it will keep you out of the house.

Tell him it is safe with the nets.

  2. Well, he's right, they are dangerous.  However, so are lots of other things in life.  Driving a car is dangerous, crossing a busy street is dangerous, standing on a ladder is dangerous.  If you do them all correctly though, you reduce your risk of injury.  Respect the fact that he is looking out for your safety and best interest.  Until he feels comfortable with the idea, its unlikely he'll just let you get one.  Nothing you say or do will change that.

  3. Maybe if you get one of those things that go around it that keeps you from falling off or through the springs, he might be more willing.

  4. Get a small one, and use it for those aerobic exercises.  After a time of having it, you may be able to get a real one.

  5. Well, he is right, they can be dangerous.  We had one when I was growing up and we had a couple friends over through out the years that sprained or broke their ankle while just jumping - not even falling off.  Another issue your father may have is not just your safety, but your friends' safety.  For their own sakes and also for his own liability (ie their parents could sue your parents if they get hurt).  My parents had our friends all sign waivers of liability prior to them jumping.  Although, there is always the case that kids could sneak up there while we're not home and we'd have still been liable (ie could be sued).  You could talk with him about these issues and help cover all possible objections he may have.  In the end, you may not be able to convince him.

  6. it depends what kind of trampoline you get. some trampolines are small for one person and low height while others have room for min. 5 people and have a height of 1 meter. tell him by having nets it keeps me safe and not from falling . if he thinks that when you jump you will go over the net, that will not happen because certain engineers have tested that. when you land on a trampoline it is stretchy and fairly soft material so no scratches will be on your skin . if you do get a trampoline and your dad is still uncertain, he can stretch the material as far as he wants you to jump 1 meter or 4 meters. and a safety tip: put it in a clear area, definetely not around trees. the most safest trampoline are the ones with nets.

  7. They can be pretty dangerous. You could promise that you'll wear a helmet while on it at all times?

  8. tell him that you will be careful and plenty of other people have them and dont get hurt so the chances of you getting hurt is very slim

  9. his main concern is probably you bouncing off. that's what my dad's was when we went over my cousin's who had one. tell him to buy a net to put around it, so you won't fall of.

  10. How about an in-ground trampoline?

They're really fun and even safer
