  1. Crab legs, especially King crab, are already cooked.

The objective is to heat them out without further cooking them.

The microwave idea is good... wrap in a damp towel and microwave briefly.

    Steaming is another option.

I tend to avoid boiling (in a large pot of water again).... my theory is the boiling will wash away the flavor.  Using a little water may be a better option since you're essentially steaming and not "washing".

  2. i just fill a big pot with water and bring it to a boil, and in it a couple tbsp of salt and 1 lemon juiced.  drop in the legs for just a couple minutes.

serve with melted butter for dipping!

  3. 1. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil/butter in pot

    2. add thin sliced onions little grated garlic and pepper to simmer

    3. You may also need to add a little water to steam, add water  ocasionlly until cooked and salt as required

  4. Boil a large pot of water - large enough to fit as many as you need.  If you have tons you may need to do several batches.  You can put some pickling spice in but thats mainly for aroma in the in the air.  Bring to a boil.  Drain the legs and rinse briefly with cold water to stop the cooking process.  Serve immediately.  This is for the most common crab legs (snow and king) that are generally already cooked when you buy them.

  5. Most crab legs that you buy in the store are already cooked.

So all you need is to reheat them a little.

I do mine in the microwave, on medium heat, for about 4 minutes.

Wrap about 2 or 3 in some wet paper towels, and that'll steam them until they're heated through.

Sometimes I'll throw in some lemon and onion slices in the paper towels with them, to give them a little more flavor.

Serve with some melted butter, and you'll be set.

  6. The chances are that they are already cooked and will just need to be reheated, either steamed or briefly boiled.

If they are fresh (not pink) they will just take a little longer.
