Alright, well I have an iPod nano, and I want to copy the pre-recorded, store bought movie Ratatouille for my little brother on our road trip. I don't want to remove it from the disc, though. How do I add it as a file on my computer?

  1. iPod can only support mpeg4 video. You will need to have a 3rd party tool to help you to convert dvds and video into mp4 or h264 format, add them into itunes library, then sync to ipod,  take a look at http://www.dvd-to-ipod-converter.com/cuc... this step by step guide convert DVDs and all kinds of videos like avi, mpeg etc to ipod using cucusoft...works like a charming for me.

  2. Below is a link of Dvd to Ipod Software

Most of it has trial versions so you can try

before you buy.  Hope this helps
