How do I copy a DVD onto a mac computer?

Hi this is my first question asked on yahoo and my cousin has a lot of DVDs and since I don't, I figured that I can copy them on my mac computer and then burn it but I'm not sure how to do it. If anyone has any suggestions it will be appreciated. :)
