How do I correctly do problems using dimensional analysis?

example:

how many feet in 250000 mi? ( 5280 ft= 1 mi)

if u know any sites that help with dimensional analysis, tell me.

OK -

250,000 mi x 5,280 ft/mi = 250000 x 5280 ft =1,320,000,000 ft

You can see that the mi above and below the line cancel each other out. That's all there is to dimensional analysis. But you must be careful to get the dimensions right!
