  1. You can either add red wine or a potato.  Either one works.  Good luck to you!

  2. try putting a potato in there for a little bit...it will soak up the salt.

  3. take a raw potato peel it and then throw in sauce whole ,the potato will soak up some salt ,it is done in restaurants

  4. Try brown sugar.  Make sure your sauce gets hot enough to melt the brown sugar.  A little red wine can help, too.

  5. increase all the other ingredients to balance it out- nothing can block the salt taste ans on the tongue it has no opposite-

  6. Put in more tomato paste. Tomatoes cut the saltiness. Proven fact!

  7. * add more sauce

    * add lemon, garlic, or sugar

  8. Generally the easiest way is to increase the amount of sauce without adding extra salt.  Add a container of commercial sauce.

  9. Lemon and lime counter salt.

    Salt counters lemon and lime.

It's a science thing. In short, the muscles under the tongue respond differently to each ingrediant.

Adding more sauce would be the idea solution but if this doesnt work for you then go ahead and add a little lime. Cover the lime flavor with cilantro and basil. Tiny bit of milk also will help and you'll never know. When you add milk it also becomes alot more filling.

  10. I'm with the responder who suggested potato. This worked for me, once upon a time.

I cut the potato into thick slices, idea being that it increased the surface area. Don't cook for too long - you don't want the potato to start to fall apart, but get the sauce up to a good bubble for a few minutes and stir..
